Waterford Mill

The Waterford water mill was built on Catoctin Creek in the 18^th century and rebuilt in the early 19^th century.  Because Waterford remained loyal to the Union during the Civil War the Confederates drove the miller from his home and appropriated all his livestock and goods. After the war, the mill produced com meal, flour and bran under the name of "Quaker Town Products" until 1939,
