Christian and Wilhelmina Upplegger

Christian and Wilhelmina Upplegger both came from Germany. Wilhelmina (ne: Kaatz) had been an apprentice cook in the Kaiser's palace.

They had at least seven children: August, Helen, William Christian, Rudolph, Otto, Emil, and Alvina. The sons all went bald as they matured.

Christian's Great Granddaughter remembers Christian as a tenacious old man with a cane, a hearing trumpet, and a long white beard that went down to his knees. He would give her a bright shiny dime when he came to visit.
