Kerstin Olsdotter

Kerstin Olsdotter was born on September 8, 1828 in the parish of Sonne in the Swedish county of Värmland, near Götesborg on the west coast of Sweden. Her father Ole was a respected farmer. Kerstin worked as a maid in a Swedish castle. In 1865, at the age of 37, Kerstin became pregnant. Disavowed by her father, she went to stay with relatives on a farm near the towns of Sandarne, Lverige, and Söderhamn some distance north of Stockholm on the east coast of Sweden. On the 30th of March 1866, Kerstin had her child which she named Per Olaf Andersson.
