Louis Kath

Log Cabin

Louis Kath was born in Germany. He was a Lutheran, a farmer, a husband twice, and a father to eight children. He emigrated to the United States and settled in the village of Waldenburg, Michigan. Waldenburg was a small village composed of a mill, a Lutheran church, a one room school, a small cemetery, and a few homes and nearby farms. Louis's log cabin was in the middle of his orchard on his farm on the card road.

His children by his first wife were Mary, Minnie, Rose, Louise and Charles (Jan 6, 1866). The children by his second wife were Albert, Walter (Jul 26, 1887) and Adolph (Feb 7, 1890).
