Don is pictured, in the upper left, as a baby with his Aunt Cora, his father's younger sister. The girl behind Cora may be her younger sister, Dora.
Don's father, George Mann, died when Don was 18 months old. In the picture on the upper right, Elsie Mann and her son Donald visit George's grave in Oak Hill Cemetery. Three other women, including the photographer, stand out of the picture, revealed by their shadows.

Don sits on the steps of his mother's Mill Street home. His grandparents also lived them.

In the picture in the lower left, Don and his cousins play with baby lambs. Mahlon and Phyllis Kath are the children of Louis and Myrtle Kath. Aunt Myrtle's pies are are still remembered with some humor.
